Porcelain Inlays and Onlays
Many patients desire to enhance their natural smiles with a variety of cosmetic dental treatments, including teeth-whitening, porcelain veneers, porcelain inlays/onlays, porcelain crowns and full mouth reconstruction.
Porcelain inlays and onlays are porcelain restorations used to restore teeth that have lost a large amount of structure. Our focus on aesthetic, or cosmetic dentistry, is part of your overall dental health treatment plan. Onlays and inlays are white in color and are stronger than conventional fillings and more conservative than crowns. The entire restorative procedure is done over 2 appointments of approximately one and a half hours each.
The first visit is to excavate all the decayed tooth structure, prepare, impress and put a temporary restoration in the tooth. The second visit is when the inlay/onlay is inserted.
One-visit dentistry. The state of the art CAD Cam software allows us to design every precise detail of your restoration with the accuracy you have come to expect from us. The software allows us to customize the shape of the restoration to exactly fit your specific clinical needs. While you wait, exact design specifications are sent to our on-site laboratory to create your restoration. In less than one-half hour later, your all-ceramic, color matched restoration is ready for placement. Your restoration is then fitted, polished and bonded for permanence. Your tooth is restored back to its natural form, function and beauty.
