At EastSide Dental Medicine we know that health stems from a deep balance and alignment of the energies of the body.  That's why we chose the chakra symbol to aid in defining our practice.  Chakra is a Sanskrit word meaning “wheels of light" and refers to wheel-like vortices, which, according to traditional Indian medicine, are believed to exist in the surface of the subtle body of living beings. Each chakra is associated with a gland and a major nerve plexus and governs the area of the physical body in which it is found. By influencing the endocrine system and its hormones, the chakras affect the functioning and structure of the tissues of the body, including the organs. When the chakras are balanced, the body is in harmony.

Led by the husband and wife team of Drs. Jyoti Srivastava, M.S., D.D.S. and Robert Castracane, D.M.D, they bring over 25 years of dental excellence.   Combined, Dr. Srivastava, a highly trained prosthodontist, and Dr. Castracane, a general dentist specially trained in dental implant surgery, bring the expertise of a multi-disciplinary team including a periodontist and a team of trained hygienists.

By both maintaining a practice and teaching the science and art of dentistry, we are able to continually perfect our skills and deepen our understanding.
